The new brand and packaging for Jamie Oliver at Gatwick Airport is a fantastic tribute to the visual language of travel.

At Sony Music Headquarters in Kensington a new project has been unveiled documenting the company’s 125 year musical history. Designed by Alex Fowkes the typographical installation covers almost 150 square meters and features every artist signed to Sony Music and its affiliated labels from the foundation of Columbia Records in 1887 to the present day.

Really like the design of the new Myspace shown off in this video. Slick visual interface and renewed focus on creativity and sharing. But does anyone care?

Browsing creative review, I came across this fantastic infographic work. The final print finish is very striking and the clarity of the campaign really comes through.

Commissioned by the Nike Foundation in support of The Girl Effect, this awesome series of infographic flyposters were handouts that were distributed at the London Summit on Family Planning held two weeks ago.

The graphics needed to get the attention of the attending politicians, policy makers and world leaders during the lunch break at the Westminster summit, and communicate to them some of the facts and figures that The Girl Effect organisation is set up to tackle.

How much effect this fantastic graphic work had on the delegates can’t be measured, but by the end of the one-day summit, over $2.6 billion had been committed to provide access to contraception to 120 million girls and women in the world’s poorest countries by 2020.

Have a look at the wonderful work of Danielle Davis. Her lettering work pulls from both traditional typography and entirely modern calligraphic styles and she always puts a unique spin on each project. I especially love the small personal illustration touches on each of her projects. Keep up to date with Danielle’s work on her blog and be on the look out for her note card line, Local No. 633, hopefully coming out soon!

Nice collection of work for the West of England Design Forum. We don’t have any affiliation with them, but thought the quotes, illustration and cohesive nature of the design work was certainly effective.

Burn Card Clothing is a new company who makes “original t-shirts for original people”. Not a particularly original stand point in fashion, but their packaging design for the t-shirts is certainly eye catching and very different. Simple, creative and well executed.

Have a look at the fantastic work of typographer Dana Tanamachi. She is a graphic Designer and custom chalk letterer. Her work, a small selection displayed above, is all lovingly done by hand and absolutely stunning. It stimulates an emotive response that would not be possible to achieve on a Mac and is truly inspiring stuff!. Check out more of her work here.
